Due to a combination of limited funding and increased demand, the Oregon Student Assistance Commission (OSAC) has set August 15, 2009, as the priority deadline for 2009-10 Oregon Opportunity Grants. Students who file FAFSAs after the deadline will be awarded if funds become available.

Students apply for the Opportunity Grant by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.FAFSA.ed.gov. To be considered for the grant, students must submit their initial 2009-10 FAFSA on or before the August 15th deadline. Students who submit initial FAFSAs after the deadline will be considered for a grant only if funds become available.
